About the Complaints Board
The Norwegian Financial Services Complaints Board (FinKN) deals with disputes that arise between finance companies and their customers in service areas such as insurance, banking, financing, securities funds and debt collection.
Our organization’s activities are based on an agreement between the Consumer Council of Norway (Forbrukerrådet), the Confederation of Norwegian Business and Industry (Næringslivets Hovedorganisasjon, NHO), Finance Norway (Finans Norge), the Association of Norwegian Finance Houses (Finansieringsselskapenes Forening, Finfo), the Norwegian Fund and Asset Management Association (Verdipapirfondenes Forening, VFF) and the Enterprise Federation of Norway (Virke). FinKN was publically approved for operations in 2014.
